Plan Your Trade Show Booth in Advance – We Can Help! – Speedpro St. John’s

July 2, 2018

Strategic planning and organization for your next trade show can help you successfully capture the attention of attendees and boost your sales for the event.

BEFORE YOU START

Decide your trade show budget and determine an estimate of the ROI you’ll make from the show. Set your objectives – look at the date, time and demographic of the attendees.

Identify how much space you’ll have at your booth. The larger your space, the more time it will take to plan for. You’ll want to do this at least three months in advance.

Use social media weeks in advance of the trade show, building up hype about the show and your attendance. Most trade shows have their own hashtag or location, use these when you post to convince consumers why they should come visit you. When they see you at the show, they’ll remember seeing you online.

SHOWCASE YOUR BOOTH

With potentially hundreds of booths fighting for the attention of consumers, you don’t want your booth to be overlooked.

After taking a look at your budget, determine how you want your trade show to stand out:

Lights – Lighting is a great way to catch the attendee’s eyes and help them focus their attention on you. LED-backlit banners and illuminated displays and signs are a great way to light up your booth and increase traffic to where you are.

Promotions – Determine your trade show giveaways. Will you offer a trade show promotion?

Plan ahead to order any items you will give away, and have a way to showcase your new sales promotion. Present the offer in a professional way that matches your brand, such as a bold banner, digital sign or sandwich board.

Interactive – How will you engage with those that stop by your booth? Photo booths are a great way to engage with attendees and you can showcase your brand in the hundreds of pictures you take during the event. Raffles also give you a chance to get their contact information and give your attendees a chance to win stuff. Banners, POP displays and a branded picture frame are easy to set up at your booth.

NAVIGATION

Do you have directional signage like intriguing floor graphics, flags or retractors? Arrive early and with help to set it up, and make sure it is facing the right flow of traffic.
