RETRACTABLE BANNER USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

STORAGE

  • The retractor mechanism creates a natural safe storage environment for your banner. Always store your banner stand in its closed position.
  • Dust, excess moisture and heat can affect both the retractor mechanism and the print. Keeping the stand in the accompanying carry case will help keep dust out of the mechanism.
  • The banner should be stored flat in a dry, warm area (room temperature).
  • It should not be exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures (like inside a parked car) while stored.

CLEANING

  • The banner and stand may be dusted with a “Swiffer-type” product.
  • The graphic may be lightly cleaned with a damp cloth and soapy water. Do not scrub the graphic.
  • After cleaning, always allow the graphic to dry thoroughly before retracting it into the stand.

USE

  • Retractable stands are designed for fair weather/indoor use. Under no circumstances should they be allowed to get wet.
  • Stands can be difficult to move once they are set up. So, begin by removing the stand and poles from the storage bag and place them in close proximity to the final desired location.
  • Swivel out the support legs (depends on the model), from the bottom of the stand
  • Assemble and/or extend the banner pole and insert into the stand.
  • With the stand in place on the floor slowly pull up the graphic taking care to keep it straight and avoid rubbing the print against either side of the base holder. Once the banner is up, adjust the levelling screws at the front of the base to get the graphic into the desired position.
  • To more easily reach the top of the pole to clip on the graphic follow this tip – while pulling the graphic from the base tilt the pole and the stand back toward you. This will save you having to stretch to reach the top of the pole.
  • To lower the banner, reverse the process by tilting the stand and pole toward you and removing the graphic. If the graphic tends to one side or the other just guide some of the graphic back into the stand and begin again. Take care to lower the graphic as evenly as possible into the base in order to avoid rubbing the face of the print and the edges against the retractor.
As is evident, there is a wide selection of steps to follow in order to ensure that your SPEEDPRO BANNERS stay in good shape. For this reason, it is not possible for Speedpro Imaging to offer any guarantees on lost, stolen, or damaged Banners. Our guarantee extends only to the adhesion of our vinyl graphics to the surface of the banner material and/or to the digital print durability. However, by following the above noted guidelines your SPEEDPRO BANNER should last long time.
