Precision & Prep: Navigating Your Next Vehicle Project

Investing in your vehicle—whether it’s a full color-change wrap, professional detailing, or custom graphics—is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about protection and professional execution. To help you plan your next project, we’ve put together this guide to help you understand our pricing, the importance of preparation, and how to keep your vehicle looking showroom-ready.

Understanding the Market: Why “Budgetary” Matters

In the current automotive landscape, pricing volatility is a reality we all face. From the cost of premium raw materials like vinyl and ceramic coatings to shifting supply chain logistics, the market is in constant motion.

Because of this, the figures in our pricing guide are provided for budgetary purposes. They serve as a reliable baseline for your planning, but final quotes may vary based on:

  • The specific make, model, and complexity of your vehicle’s curves.
  • Current material surcharges from manufacturers.
  • The condition of the original paint or surface.

Think of the guide as your roadmap—it gets you headed in the right direction, but the final destination is tailored specifically to your car’s unique needs.

When it comes to maintaining a high-end finish, we look to the industry leaders. To keep your vehicle’s surface (especially if it’s wrapped) in peak condition, 3M recommends these key maintenance steps:

  1. Gentle Hand Washing: Whenever possible, wash your vehicle by hand. Use a mild detergent (like 3M Car Wash Soap) and a soft, clean sponge or cloth.
  2. Watch the pH: Use cleaners with a pH balance between 3 and 11. Avoid harsh acids or highly alkaline cleaners, as these can degrade the finish over time.
  3. Pressure Washing Caution: If you must pressure wash, keep the pressure below 2000 psi, the water temperature below 80°C (180°F), and the nozzle at least 12 inches away from the surface at a 90-degree angle.
  4. Dry It Right: To avoid water spots, use a silicone squeegee to remove excess water, then follow up with a clean microfiber towel.

Before You Arrive: Your Pre-Drop-Off Checklist

To ensure we can get straight to work and deliver the highest quality result, we ask all clients to complete two vital steps before drop-off:

  • The “Clean Policy”: Please ensure your vehicle is thoroughly washed and free of mud, road grime, or heavy wax treatments. A clean surface is essential for proper adhesion and a flawless finish. Vehicles that arrive heavily soiled may be subject to a cleaning fee or rescheduling.
  • Proofing & Approval: If your project involves custom graphics or layouts, please review all provided proofs with a fine-toothed comb. Once you give the “thumbs up,” we move into production. Checking for typos or layout tweaks at this stage ensures the final product is exactly what you envisioned.

Long-Term Maintenance

A great project doesn’t end when you drive off the lot. Regular maintenance—such as removing bird droppings or tree sap immediately—is the best way to prevent staining or “etching” into the surface. If you ever notice a lifted edge or a strange blemish, bring it by! Early maintenance is always easier (and more affordable) than a full repair later.
