Mel Earl
Owner
Mel has always had a passion for creativity and making something out of nothing. Her career in art started off at SC Photo as a digital photo corrector from there she worked at a well known Artisan shop called Sunshine Corner. It was here she learned how to airbrush and to craft and design in full scale. In 2012 Mel joined SpeedPro Signs under the guidance of Ernie Whitrow she learned the art of signage, marketing and sales. In 2017 Mel and her husband Scott purchased SpeedPro Signs Medicine Hat. Since then they have set several sales records and have been recognized as the franchises fastest start for 2018, Innovator Award 2021 and have been nominated 2 times for Franchise of the Year. If you were to ask Mel her favorite quote it would be “I always get to where I am going, by walking away from where I have been” – Winnie the Pooh
Mel Earl

Scott Earl
Owner
Scott started his career off in heavy equipment operating. He spent his time working for a drywall supply company where he honed in his skills on a boom truck and learned how to drive and operate several class 1 vehicles, forklifts, booms and moffats. It was here he became a shop supervisor and guided his crew in a fast pace environment. Eventually, Scott found himself working for the City of Medicine Hat as a transit shop worker where he learned automotive skills. His career spanned 10 years at the city eventually becoming a Transit bus driver and Special Transit operator. In 2020 Scott joined the staff at SpeedPro pursuing the life of a true entrepreneur and moving away from the books and into the shop as Production Manager. Since then Scott has introduced several new processes and pieces of equipment to our SpeedPro location like a CNC channel bender and a CNC Router with 3D carving abilities. If you were to ask Scott his favorite quote it would be.

Barbara Young
Design/Sales
Barbara joined SpeedPro in 2021 and has added to the our design and sales team with her knowledge and understanding of branding. Previously Barbara had worked for retailers as a marketing liaison and marketing coordinator. Over 2020 she decided to further her education and earned herself a degree in graphic design. Make sure to look around the city because many of the signs you see have her amazing designers touch.

Lenin Rojo
Production
Lenin has a very interesting story. Lenin had emigrated to Canada in the 1980’s from Chile. Wanting to learn and adapt to Canada he forced himself to take on the challenge of learning a new language, make new friends and establish a career. Lenin comes from a construction background and you may recognize him from his years at Tidy Truck where he made box liners and installed truck accessories. He is currently trained at SpeedPro as a VIT 3M installer and enjoys the challenge of installing and producing world class signage and vehicle graphics.

Celena has a passion for vinyl and has obtained her 3M VIT installation certification we look forward to seeing her achieve her 3M preferred.
